On the 2nd of July 2016 I jumped into the car and we went out to the Temora Aviation Museum. It’s not the first time I’ve gone and certainly won’t be the last. This visit provided the opportunity to see the Curtis P-40 “Kittyhawk” fly alongside the museums Mk8 Spitfire, CAC Wirraway, Ryan STM and Piper Cub/J3 in flying displays. Naturally the museums extensive collection of warbirds would also be perused!
As per usual the day was fantastic despite the cold and overcast conditions (well it is winter!).
Our drive from Canberra took just under 3 hours with generous break for coffee, the return was only delayed by weekend traffic crawling back into the Canberra. It’s only a ~450km round-trip, so total costs for the day were minimal thanks to the Museums modest (AUD20) entry fee. All it really takes is an early start on a cold morning!
A small gallery of the days photos are below, hopefully I’ll be uploading some video taken on the to Youtube soon!
